Chemical Peel
Our skin always regenerates new skin on an average of a 28 days cycle, but as we grow older this cycle can sometimes be longer. This is the cause of dullness in the skin’s appearance. We can use chemical peel to remove the outer layer of the dead skin cell, which will hasten the regeneration of the new skin ensuring the skin to be fresh and healthy at all times.
Chemical peel is also able to deal with the fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation problems at a certain stage. At Rejuvie Aesthetic and Anti Aging we use several kinds of chemical peels: Fruit Acid Peel (Glycolic Acid),TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid Peels), and Salicylic Acid.
The treatment
Before having the treatment you need to have a short consultation with one of our doctors, who will analyze your skin. Then the doctor will prescribe the type and strength of the chemical peel that is suitable for you. The peeling process is relatively short. After cleansing, the nurse will apply the chemical peel on the treated skin. Skin will have a tingling sensation for a while, and after that, the area is cleansed and neutralized. After the peeling procedure the nurse will apply Aloe Vera cream to reduce discomfort and calm down the skin.
Repeat treatments
Common side effects are redness and a feeling of sunburn in the treated area. The skin might start to peel. This is normal, but do not peel the skin yourself. Let the peeling happen by itself. We strongly recommend that you stay out of the sun the first 48 hours and to use a sun block with SPF 30 the following days.
