Blepharoplasty
(Eyelid Surgery)
Refine Your Eyes. Reveal Your Confidence
Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, is a surgical procedure designed to improve the appearance of the eyes by addressing excess or sagging skin, protruding fat, and in some cases muscle, in the upper and/or lower eyelids. The eye area is often one of the first facial regions to show visible signs of aging, fatigue, or heaviness. Blepharoplasty can help restore a fresher, more rested, and alert appearance, while maintaining a natural look.
Each blepharoplasty procedure is individually tailored based on the patient’s facial anatomy, eyelid structure, and aesthetic goals. The aim is to enhance the eye area while preserving natural expression and overall facial harmony.
What to Expect from Blepharoplasty Surgery
Blepharoplasty is usually performed under local anesthesia, with or without sedation. The procedure typically takes one to two hours, depending on whether the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both are treated.
Following surgery, mild swelling and bruising are common during the first few days and usually subside over one to two weeks. Most patients are able to return to normal daily activities within seven to ten days, although healing continues gradually. Final results become more apparent over several weeks as swelling resolves and the tissues settle.
